Where’s My Pinata? The Layering Combo You Didn’t Know You Needed

I layered ULTA Pinata Yada Yada over black… GORGEOUS. Pinata Yada Yada is one of the many, many dupes of the beloved Deborah Lippmann‘s glitter bomb Happy Birthday.

It was gorgeous like that, but I’m just not a glossy kind of gal… China Glaze Matte Magic whispered to me from inside my Melmer drawer.

I promptly picked up Matte Magic and I have not looked back since. This is the perfect combo of rockstar and glam! It’s so very much me. Everyone needs to do this combo, pronto. Not convinced? Alright then, I have spam for you…

Need it a bit more closer up? NO problem!

GUH. I want to marry this and have it bear my children. They will be matte and glittery and awesome!

I just scheduled my blog post of this for tomorrow morning!! The only issue I have with mine compared to yours is that I used WnW Party of 5 glitters and it doesn’t come out as dense as your glitter. I could have done more coats but it takes forever to dry but at least I like it how it turned out anyway. thanks again for the idea!

Yes I did a very generous coat for these, and on the thumb I did two. Milani Gems is the most dense dupe out there, with WnW Party of 5 being last of the list. I like Seche Vite or Revlon Quick Dry for some crazy drying time, do you use either of these topcoats?

OK. This is really cool looking. I will have to try this out with a few of my glitters and matte top coast! YOur pics are amazing!

Yup! I love mattifying Lippmann’s glitters, it just brings an amount of unexpected depth.
